Brentford remain hopeful of signing Coventry midfielder Ben Stevenson despite their first offer for him being rejected, Sky sources understand.
The 19-year-old is in his first full season in professional football and has been a regular presence in the struggling League One side's midfield.
Sky sources, who reported Brentford's interest in Stevenson on Monday, understand Coventry value Stevenson at £2m.
Stevenson has played 22 times in all competitions since his debut in the EFL Cup against Portsmouth in August, scoring twice.
He was dismissed after scoring in the 2-1 defeat by MK Dons in late November and only returned to action on New Year's Eve in a 1-1 draw at Peterborough.
