O'Kane and Robertson commit to Torquay Eunan O'Kane and Chris Robertson have both signed new two-year contracts with Torquay. Skysports.com revealed earlier this month that midfielder O'Kane, who joined the Gulls from Irish side Coleraine in January, was to be awarded a long-term deal. He has now put pen-to-paper and manager Paul Buckle is thrilled to have secured his services until 2012. "When Eunan signed for us I said that he was a very good prospect and that belief has been reinforced over the last few months," Buckle told the club's official website. "He is already popular with the supporters and has a real opportunity to progress and become an established player with Torquay. "I am delighted he has committed himself to the club and I am sure he will prove a big positive for us." Buckle was equally pleased to tie down Robertson, who has been at Plainmoor since signing from Sheffield United three years ago. He added: "Chris is now one of the senior players in a young squad and I am absolutely delighted that he has signed a new contract."
