Scottish Premiership round-up: Hearts hammer hapless Motherwell

Hearts moved to within three points of second place in the Scottish Premiership after hammering Motherwell 6-0 at Tynecastle.
With Aberdeen not playing Ross County until Sunday, live on Sky Sports 3, Robbie Neilson's side had the chance to close the gap on the Dons on Saturday with a win over Motherwell, who were unbeaten in six games.
However, the home side put an end to that run, with Igor Rossi heading Hearts in front after 11 minutes. Five minutes later it was 2-0 when Osman Sow fired into the bottom right corner from 25 yards, before Gavin Reilly won and then converted a penalty to make it 3-0 after 22 minutes.
The second half was much quieter but there was a flurry of late goals from the hosts. Callum Paterson scored with 13 minutes remaining before Juanma and an Arnaud Djoum penalty sealed an empathic win for the Edinburgh side, who also had two goals ruled out for offside.
There were fears for some of the fixtures with snow falling across Scotland but that did not deter Dundee, who were rampant against Partick Thistle at Firhill in a 4-2 win.
Kane Hemmings gave the visitors the lead from the spot when Gary Harkins was fouled by Liam Lindsay and it was 2-0 just three minutes later when Harkins reacted quickest to prod home following a Tomas Cerny spill.
Greg Stewart then got in on the act, curling a great effort around Cerny to make it 3-0 after 14 minutes before Hemmings almost added to the rout, hitting the post for the away side.
Thistle thought they were back in the game when they scored through David Amoo before Harkins got his second to ensure Dundee were 4-1 ahead at the interval.
The second half was a much tighter affair, with the home side reduced to 10 men when Liam Lindsay was sent off for a second yellow card with 13 minutes remaining, but the hosts did pull another goal back through Kris Doolan.
Kilmarnock eased their relegation fears with a 2-1 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Rugby Park but there were concerns the match would be abandoned, with brief suspensions in both halves so snow could be cleared from the artificial surface.
Greg Kiltie gave the home side the lead after nine minutes before the first suspension in play, with Ross Draper equalising for Caley four minutes before the interval.
However, Craig Slater volleyed Kilmarnock back in front six minutes after the break.
The game between St Johnstone and Hamilton was only given the go-ahead after a pitch inspection but there were no goals at McDiarmid Park, with Gramoz Kurtaj having the best chance of the match for the away side in the second half.
