Inverness Caledonian Thistle's Greg Tansey has signed a pre-contract agreement with Aberdeen.
The midfielder will join the Scottish Cup semi-finalists on a three-year deal this summer, bringing to an end his second stint in the Highland capital.
Aberdeen boss Derek Mcinnes said: "He is a player we have admired for a long time and he will be a very welcome addition to the squad here at Pittodrie.
"He is a confident player, exactly the type of player we want to see at our club. There is more to come from Greg and I'm sure we will provide the perfect platform for him to develop."
The 28-year-old began his career at Stockport County before joining Caley Thistle in 2011, making 38 appearances before moving back south with Stevenage the following year.
He returned to the Tulloch Caledonian stadium in 2014 and has gone on to make over 100 league appearances scoring 19 goals.
McInnes also confirmed that he expects Niall McGinn, who is out of contract at the end of the season, to end his five-year stay at Pittodrie.
He said: "It looks like Niall may be moving on. His agent has indicated there may be interest from a Championship club but he's still key for us."
McGinn has made over 200 appearances for Aberdeen, scoring 67 goals, and has a League Cup winner's medal from 2014.
Aberdeen will be looking to extend the gap on third-placed Rangers to 11 points when they travel to Dens Park on Friday night and McInnes confirmed that, other than the suspended Jayden Stockley and the injured Mark Reynolds, they will be at full strength.
