Celtic have completed the signing of Kouassi Eboue on a four-year deal.
Ivory Coast midfielder joins the Scottish champions from Russian side FC Krasnodar for an undisclosed fee, with the deal subject to the granting of a work permit.
Eboue admitted that current Celtic defender and Ivory Coast team-mate Kolo Toure helped persuade him it was the right move to make.
The 19-year-old said: "Kolo is a big man. When I was young I watched TV and supported him and now when I think I’ll play alongside him I’m really happy. When I knew he was here I asked about Celtic and I’m happy to be here with him.
"I will learn with him and Celtic has many good players so I will learn with them too. I knew of Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair and the captain, Scott Brown, as well. I knew of Dedryck Boyata as well from when he played at Manchester City."
Sky Sports News HQ reported on Tuesday that the 19-year-old was in Glasgow to undergo a medical and finalise the transfer to become Brendan Rodgers' first signing of the January transfer window.
Rodgers recently stated that Eboue excites him in the same way Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling did during his time as boss at Liverpool.
Eboue had spent time with Celtic at their winter training camp in Dubai, with the Russian league in its off-season.
He spent time as a youth in the Armenian league with FC Shirak before moving to Krasnodar in 2014, making his senior debut for the club in May 2016.
