Michael O'Halloran has completed his transfer from St Johnstone to Rangers, signing a four-year deal at Ibrox.

Rangers had previously failed with two bids for the Saints wide man earlier in the window but it has proved to be third time lucky for the Championship pacesetters as a fresh bid over the weekend bore fruit

O'Halloran has signed for an undisclosed fee and will go straight into the squad for Tuesday night's league game at Raith Rovers.

The 25-year-old told his new club's website: "I am happy it is finally over the line because it has been a long time. I've not known whether I am coming or going over the last month but I am delighted to be here now.

"When you hear of the interest though your immediate reaction is that you want to go to the big club and I am just happy the opportunity has finally come and the move has happened."
