Rangers midfielder Michael O'Halloran is facing disciplinary action for failing to turn up to an U20s match on Monday night.

The 26-year-old was scheduled to play in the club's match against Hearts U20s at Stirling, but did not arrive for the fixture.

Sky sources understand the matter is being dealt with internally and the player, who last featured for the Gers' first team 10 days ago, is understood to have trained today as normal.

It appears O'Halloran, who has yet to score this season, is likely to receive a heavy sanction from Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha for his absence.

The Scot signed for Rangers from St Johnstone last January and has made 24 appearances for the club this campaign, the majority of those as a substitute.
