Alex McLeish says he has had no contact with Rangers over their managerial vacancy

Alex McLeish has told Sky Sports News that he is surprised to hear that he is about to return to Rangers as he has had no contact with the club.
On Monday morning one bookmaker took their market down on the former Gers boss returning to Ibrox following a run of bets in Glasgow.
However, McLeish says he is uncomfortable that football fans think he is about to become Pedro Caixinha's replacement and that he does not want anyone losing their money betting on him.
Rangers sacked Caixinha a month ago and have lost their last two games to Hamilton and Dundee under caretaker boss Graeme Murty.
Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes had been the bookmakers' early favourite for the job but insisted he was staying at Pittodrie last week amid ongoing speculation linking him with a return to the club where he served as a player.
McLeish won seven trophies, including a treble and two titles, during four-and-a-half years as Rangers manager from December 2001.
The former Scotland boss has also had spells in charge of Birmingham City, where he won the League Cup in 2011, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Genk and, most recently, Egyptian side Zamalek.
