Hearts have signed Ross Callachan from Raith Rovers on an initial two-year deal.

Boyhood Hearts fan Callachan - who was Rovers' club-captain - joins the Jambos for an undisclosed fee on a two-year contract with the option for a third year.

The 23-year-old leaves Raith after making his 200th appearance for the club in last weekend's 5-0 League One victory victory at East Fife.

Callachan becomes Craig Levein's first signing since his appointment as the new Hearts manager on a three-year-deal.
