Inverness Caledonian Thistle have signed Lonsana Doumbouya from Belgian side Cercle Brugge on a two-year contract.

The Guinea-born striker, 26, scored nine goals in 33 appearances last season for the side from the second tier in Belgium.

Richie Foran's side are bottom of the Scottish Premiership without a point after three matches, conceding 10 goals and scoring three, and the manager had promised fresh faces after the 5-1 defeat at Tynecastle last weekend.

Foran told the club's website: "He's got pace, he's got power, he's got presence and he can score goals.

"He can get in behind or come short and he's great at attacking crosses.  The pace is what we were looking for and he gives us another option up front, so it's a good signing for us."

Doumbouya said: "I'm very happy to sign for my first Premiership club.

"I had other options, but having watched Scottish football I felt this was best place for me to come to progress as a player.  I like the physical game and want to score goals and work hard for the team."
