Laurent Blanc is in contract talks with Paris Saint-Germain to extend his stay at the club, the Parisiens' owner confirmed.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi insists he is confident a deal will be struck with Blanc, who is happy to extend his stay in the French capital.
Jose Mourinho's departure from Chelsea and subsequent admission from his representatives that he has no plans to take a sabbatical has led to speculation linking the Portuguese with a move to Ligue 1, but Al-Khelaifi has dismissed such talk and thrown his support behind his current manager.
"He is very happy in Paris, we are very happy with him," Al-Khelafi told le Figaro.
"He wants to stay, we want him to stay, I think that there will be no problem to extend his contract and I am confident that we will find an agreement. We are in discussion.
"Honestly, I have always believed in him. From day one, everyone wondered if he would be successful or not, I always trusted him, I have always maintained this, in good times and in bad. Whether with players or the coach, we build on the long term."
Khelaifi was less concrete on the future of star forward and record PSG goalscorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whose contract runs out at the end of the season.
"He puts his heart into this club. We'll discuss in February what he wants to do," Khelaifi added.
