Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu has joined Sevilla on a season-long loan.

The 29-year-old has won four Ligue 1 titles and five domestic cups with PSG, but he has been unseated as first choice by Kevin Trapp.

Capped 17 times by Italy, Sirigu flew into Seville's San Pablo Airport on Thursday evening and passed his medical on Friday morning.

The loan deal does not include an option for a permanent transfer.

Three-time Europa League champions Sevilla also announced that midfielder Vitolo had signed a contract extension to 2020.

The news comes on the same day the 26-year-old was called into Spain's squad for the first time.

Vitolo, who had been widely linked with Atletico Madrid, added: "There were teams who wanted to sign me, but since we finished the season my wish was to stay here.

"The club is ambitious and I hope that every year we can win a title. We know it's complicated, but we work to do that and hopefully we can give more joy to the fans."
