Neymar says he plans to end speculation over his future by signing a new contract with Barcelona.

The 23-year-old continued his fine form on Saturday evening as he scored twice in Barca's 4-0 win over Real Sociedad.

He is under contract at the Camp Nou until 2018 but his father recently said that ongoing tax issues in Spain could throw any extension into doubt while Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on the Brazilian.

However, speaking after the win over Sociedad, Neymar said: "I still have some years left on my contract and my father has already spoken about my future.

"It's true that my father said that the tax issues are a problem, but we're talking all that over. I'm still under contract and of course I intend to sign a new one."

Neymar has been a key player for Barca this season, particularly with Lionel Messi missing almost two months through injury, the Brazilian has bagged 16 goals including 14 in La Liga.

Luis Suarez doubled Barcelona's lead over Real Sociedad with this skillful volley.

Messi scored his first La Liga goal since late September against Sociedad and Neymar admitted he worked hard to ensure his team-mate got on the scoresheet.

"It's true that, at the end, I looked for Leo so he could score his goal," he said.

"Off the pitch, he helps us a lot. I'm happy when (Luis) Suarez and Messi score, and they are when I do. I'm very happy with everything we're doing at the moment.

"I want to help my team-mates and keep scoring and creating goals."
