Italy midfielder Claudio Marchisio is not interested in joining Liverpool and wants to finish his career with Juventus, according to the club's chief executive Giuseppe Marotta.

Marchisio was linked with a move to Anfield in the Italian press in the past week, but Marotta says the 29-year-old is going nowhere, despite the club having received "several offers".

"We get so many offers for our players, but we are used to buying - not selling," Marotta told Premium Sport shortly before Juve's 0-0 Serie A draw at Inter Milan on Sunday evening.

"Our focus is strong and I think Claudio's first thought is to finish his career here. Not only Liverpool, we have received several offers."

Marchisio, a Juve youth product, signed a five-year contract in July and it is not clear whether Marotta was referring to offers made before or after he signed a new deal.

Marotta also spoke of turning down offers for France international Paul Pogba.

"There were offers from other clubs formalised, but we have rejected them because Paul is the heritage of the club," Marotta said.
