Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan is the subject of talks over a move to Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande, according to Sky in Italy.
The 30-year-old could join on loan and earn as much as £10m a year, with a deal becoming permanent in the summer.
Reports that an official bid of £44m has been received from the Chinese club are not accurate, and it is thought a permanent deal is more likely in the summer.
Nainggolan was a target for Manchester United and Chelsea last summer but he stayed with Roma and signed a new four-year deal.
But the Belgium international was dropped for a time by head coach Eusebio Di Francesco over a New Year's Eve video that appeared to show him drinking and smoking.
He has not played for the Serie A club since. His last appearance was against Sassuolo on December 30.
