Ashley Cole sees red for LA Galaxy in California Clasico

Ashley Cole showed his feisty side once more as he received two yellow cards in the space of a minute on Saturday night.
Cole was lining up for MLS side LA Galaxy in the 'Cali Clasico', but after a last-gasp equaliser from San Jose Earthquakes the defender received his marching orders.
Chad Barrett was the man to level things up for the home side in Stanford, before Cole's frustrations got the better of him as he made a poor tackle on the halfway line.
It was late and reckless, and the referee deemed it worthy of a yellow card. Emotions were high and both sets of players steamed in to defend their team-mates.
In the melee, the referee deemed Cole's reaction worthy of a second booking, and he was escorted from the pitch despite protests.
It is not the first time Cole has been sent off for the Galaxy; a similar set of circumstances occurred back in May when he was booked twice in 32 seconds.
On that occasion, the former Arsenal and Chelsea defender was shown the first for what the referee deemed to be time-wasting as he took a throw-in during the 68th minute.
Seconds later, Cole launched into a tackle on Benny Feilhaber and despite protests from his Galaxy teammates, the Champions League winner was given his marching orders and shown a red card.
