Leicester have rejected a bid of £9m from Crystal Palace for winger Jeffrey Schlupp, according to Sky sources.

Schlupp is out of favour at the King Power Stadium and has not been included in the 18-man squad for any of the champions' last six Premier League matches.

That has alerted Palace boss Sam Allardyce, who it is believed has moved to make the Ghana international his first signing since being appointed at Selhurst Park.

West Brom had three bids for the 24-year-old rejected during the summer transfer window and are still believed to be monitoring his situation.

Their first offer was around the same amount as Palace are now believed to be offering and although they raised the amount considerably, it still wasn't enough.

That means the likelihood is the London side will have to increase what they are willing to pay significantly to have a chance of landing the winger.

Aston Villa are another side thought to be keen on Schlupp, who has made nine appearances for Leicester this season.

Leicester are understood to be keen on signing Norwich winger Robbie Brady but it appears any move for him hinges on them moving Schlupp out first.
