Ollie's predictions: Middlesbrough 'to have too much' for Rotherham; wins for Birmingham and Cardiff
Wednesday 9 March 2016 11:28, UK
Ian Holloway previews the big games in the Football League and predicts a narrow win for promotion-chasing Middlesbrough at Rotherham.
Blackburn Rovers v Birmingham City, Tuesday 7.45pm
Birmingham will win this one 1-0, even though I thought Blackburn played really, really well on the weekend against Burnley. But after their own brilliant result against Hull City, Birmingham will be right up for this one, they are a counter-attacking side and I think that is what will win them this game.
OLLIE PREDICTS: 0-1 (Sky Bet odds 15/2)
Brighton & Hove Albion v Sheffield Wednesday, Tuesday 7.45pm
This is going to be a belting game - Wednesday will be looking over their shoulder, won't they? And Brighton at home are a tough, tough nut to crack, so I am going to go for a goalless draw in this one as I just cannot see anyone breaking the deadlock.
OLLIE PREDICTS: 0-0 (Sky Bet odds 15/2)
Cardiff City v Leeds United, Tuesday 7.45pm
Good gracious me, Cardiff have snuck up on everybody, have they not?! If they were a horse, you would have to have a look to see if they were invisible…! But to sneak up on the rails like they have and to keep winning is absolutely brilliant. Meanwhile, Leeds had a great result the other day, which I did not see coming, a fantastic 2-1 victory. However, I think Cardiff will just win this one 2-1.
OLLIE PREDICTS: 2-1 (Sky Bet odds 15/2)
Charlton Athletic v MK Dons, Tuesday 7.45pm
I did not see the MK Dons beating my old team QPR at the weekend and Charlton winning at Brentford was fantastic too, but I am going to go for a 2-2 here.
OLLIE PREDICTS: 2-2 (Sky Bet odds 15/2)
Queens Park Rangers v Derby County, Tuesday 7.45pm
I will go for 1-1 as I just cannot separate them.
OLLIE PREDICTS: 1-1 (Sky Bet odds 5/1)
Rotherham United v Middlesbrough, Tuesday 7.45pm
That was an unbelievable Neil Warnock result the other day, was it not? But can they do it again though against 'Boro? No! I think 'Boro will just have too much for them and will win this one 1-0.
OLLIE PREDICTS: 0-1 (Sky Bet odds 9/2)
Bolton Wanderers v Ipswich Town, Tuesday 8pm
I think that Ipswich will have too much for Bolton here and I am going to go for a 2-1 win for them.
OLLIE PREDICTS: 1-2 (Sky Bet odds 8/1)
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Bristol City, Tuesday 7.45pm
I have to give this one to Wolves, who I think at home will just have too much for City and so I am going to go for a 2-1 win.
OLLIE PREDICTS: 2-1 (Sky Bet odds 9/1)
Bradford City v Burton Albion, Tuesday 7.45pm
This is going to be a tough game for Burton, who are going absolutely marvellous and brilliant at the moment. But I know only too well what Bradford are like at home, so I am going to go for them to win this one 2-1.
OLLIE PREDICTS: 2-1 (Sky Bet odds 9/1)
Accrington Stanley v Portsmouth, Tuesday 7.45pm
I think Pompey will walk this one, I hate to say. I was up there on the weekend and I think they are on a roll at the moment, so am going to go 2-0 to Portsmouth.
OLLIE PREDICTS: 0-2 (Sky Bet odds 11/1)
