Checkatrade Trophy clash between Shrewsbury and Yeovil called off

Shrewsbury Town's Checkatrade Trophy semi-final clash with Yeovil Town on Tuesday evening has been postponed because of freezing conditions in Shropshire.
The League One side covered their New Meadow pitch because of the forecast but, while those covers have worked, the club expect dipping temperatures later in the day to freeze the pitch as soon as they are removed.
They will try again on March 6, with the game to be shown on Sky Sports, as it would have been on Tuesday.
A Shrewsbury statement read: "The pitch has been covered and is okay but the sub-zero temperatures mean that the pitch would freeze as soon as the covers come off.
"With the forecast for -4 around the time of kick-off the decision has been taken with this in mind.
"The safety of the players and spectators is paramount and has been taken into consideration with the early decision."
Shrewsbury and Yeovil are battling for the right to play Lincoln in the final at Wembley Stadium on April 4, with the Imps having overcome Chelsea's U21 side.
Bristol Rovers' League One fixture against Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night was also called off due to a frozen pitch at the Memorial Stadium.
