Jose Mourinho is expected to ring the changes as Manchester United travel to Swansea in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, live on Sky Sports.
The likes of Axel Tuanzebe, Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay, Matteo Darmian, Sergio Romero and Daley Blind are all reportedly under consideration as United look to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Huddersfield on Saturday.
It was the first defeat of the season in all competitions for United, who beat Burton 4-1 in the third round as they look to defend their current League Cup title.
Swansea will also be looking to get back to winning ways after being beaten 2-1 by Leicester in the Premier League at the weekend, but manager Paul Clement is relishing the chance to play so soon after the defeat.
"We are really looking forward to facing United again and we're glad the game has come around quickly after Leicester," he told a pre-match press conference.
"This is a different competition, but it's a competition we want to do well in. We are looking for a response to Saturday and we are looking to progress.
"If we are going to do that, we know we are going to need a strong defensive performance while we'll also have to create some chances."
Victor Lindelof will be hoping his display against Huddersfield does not cost him a starting place on Tuesday. The defender did not impress after coming on for the injured Phil Jones and Mourinho could choose to look at Tuanzebe.
Roque Mesa will start for Swansea, having done so only three times since his £11m summer move from Las Palmas.
Renato Sanches (thigh) is unavailable after joining Wilfried Bony (hamstring) and Kyle Bartley on the casualty list, while goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is set to be rested.
After three successive losses against Swansea between August 2014 and August 2015, Man Utd have won three of the last four (D1), including a 4-0 victory at the Liberty Stadium in the second Premier League game of the season.
This will be just the second meeting between these two teams outside of league competition, with Swansea winning 2-1 at Old Trafford in an FA Cup third round match in January 2014.
The Swans are looking to reach the League Cup quarter-final stage for the first time since the 2012-13 campaign, a season in which they became eventual winners after beating Bradford 5-0 in the final.
The Red Devils haven't progressed to the league cup quarter-finals in successive seasons since 2011-12, losing at that stage in both 2010-11 and 2011-12.
Swansea have lost each of their last two league cup ties against Premier League opposition - losing to Manchester City in the third round last season and losing against Liverpool at this exact stage in 2014-15.
Man Utd have lost five of their last six league cup away trips to top-flight opposition (L1), although two of those were semi-final away legs in which they eventually progressed.
This should be an interesting one. I can see it being awkward for United and I think it will be a tight game.
Mourinho has obviously been angered by the way they played and Ander Herrera's comments. His players will have been walking on egg shells and will be desperate to avoid any more mistakes.
They will have that fear back in them and I think they'll put in a hard-working and gritty performance to get the result.
Charlie predicts: 1-2 and Anthony Martial to score first (22/1 with Sky Bet)
United are Sky Bet's 1/2 favourites to progress within 90 minutes, with Swansea 6/1 while the draw and extra time in priced at 16/5. Mourinho's men are 7/2 outright second favourites as they look to defend the trophy, whereas the Swans are considered 80/1 outsiders. Romelu Lukaku is the 5/2 favourite in the first goalscorer betting with Tammy Abraham (15/2) considered the hosts' main threat, while Wilfried Bony is enhanced from 17/2 to 11/1 in Sky Bet's Price Boosts.
