HIGHLIGHTS TO FOLLOW
Just 10 minutes away from the FT highlights from Wembley.
Chelsea can still catch Liverpool, but Spurs have done the job thanks to none other than Harry Kane.
TOTTENHAM SECURE TOP FOUR
With Chelsea's 1-1 draw against Huddersfield, Spurs will go to their new home with Champions League football next term!
SPURS 1-0 NEWCASTLE
FT: Last-gasp punt into the box by Shelvey with a free-kick... Dummett gets up, heads towards goal, but Lloris saves!!
90+5: Just a minute left here. Nerves as Lloris lets the ball run across him before clearing.
90+3: Spurs have it in the corner, the best position. Yedlin is booked for tugging back Lamela.
90+1: FIVE minutes added on!
90: CHANCE! Danny Rose should have wrapped it up! Lamela takes the ball down superbly 20 yards out, feeds an unmarked Rose in the area on his right foot with just Dubravka to beat, but he saves it superbly!
88: Change for Spurs. Rose on, Wanyama off. Looks like a thigh injury.
87: Newcastle still threatening as they come forward. This is by no means over... Shelvey tries to threat one in, but Wanyama clears.
85: Wow. Deafening noise at Wembley as 'Come on you Spurs' rings out for the final five minutes. Spurs need to hold on here!
84: Spurs sub, and a huge cheer for Toby Alderweireld as he replaced Trippier.
CHELSEA 1-1 HUDDERSFIELD
Full-time! If it stays how it is, Spurs will secure top four! HUGE roar at Wembley!
81: CHANCE! Newcastle corner, and it's mayhem in the box. Diame looks to swing a leg at the ball with just Lloris to beat, but he ends up taking Trippier out! Brilliant defending by the Spurs man.
CHELSEA 1-1 HUDDERSFIELD
79: Six minutes added on at Stamford Bridge. Follow it HERE or watch on Sky Sports Premier League.
77: Sub for Newcastle, Gayle off for Joselu.
And for Spurs, Son is replaced by Lamela for the final 15 minutes or so.
74: WHAT A CHANCE! Murphy gets down the left, and somehow gets away from Sanchez and into the area.
He's at an angle, but just has Lloris to beat, but he sticks it just high and wide! He should have scored, and he knows it...
72: First sub of the game. Murphy is on, replacing Kenedy for Newcastle.
71: This has been a really good game. Ritchie feeds Yedlin on the right, he cuts it back for Perez, but Sanchez slides in to clear brilliantly, just in time!
69: AS IT STANDS
Just a reminder, if it stays like this, Spurs are guaranteed a CL place next season. Chelsea are 1-1 with Huddersfield with around 10 minutes remaining.
67: Corner to Spurs as Son lets it bounce in the box. Lascelles steals in.
Eriksen takes, Gayle just clears ahead of Vertonghen, and Newcastle push out.
65: CHANCE! Opportunity at the other end now!
The ball falls to Alli, in a similar position to Kane's goal, but he strikes it low and Dubravka gets down well to save and hold it!
62: CLOSE! More nerves by Spurs. Shelvey's long ball is picked out of the air by Kenedy. He gets past Trippier after some sloppy defending, but he strikes wide from 20 yards, low past the left post.
60: Fine ball from Shelvey for Gayle in the penalty area, but Vertonghen does brilliantly to usher him out and clear for a throw in!
Newcastle hunting and playing with a real tempo.
58: CHANCE! Newcastle should score! Yedlin gets down the right, crosses for Dummett squares for Perez, and he completely mis-hits it!
It falls for Ritchie in front of Lloris, it's VERY risky by Lloris as he goes in with his feet, and clears for a corner! That looked like a foul, but Swarbrick waves play on!
55: Another corner to Spurs, and Newcastle are finally starting to creek. Good cross by Eriksen, on the head of Wanyama, but it's well over the bar.
53: Corner to Spurs, and the home fans are getting right behind them. Eriksen over it on the right, Kane tries to wrestle free, but Newcastle clear.
Then Vertonghen sticks one across the face of goal on the volley, and Dubravka just gathers at the second attempt!
GOAL! TOTTENHAM 1-0 NEWCASTLE (Kane, 50)
There's the Harry Kane we all know and love! Fine finish, and this Wembley crowd loved that one.
Kane shifts it to Son, who gives it back to Kane just inside the box, and he strokes a beauty into the top right corner!
Crisis? What crisis?
SPURS 0-0 NEWCASTLE
48: Dummett with a left-footed cross, but Diame heads it wide from 12 yards. Hard to create any power on that.
46: Spurs come back out to a really good reception from the home fans, who have all been discussing the Huddersfield goal at half-time. Some very happy and surprised faces around us in the press box...
Under way in the second period.
HT: That's the half, and there are boos from the Spurs fans. It just hasn't gone for them so far in a nervy first half.
Newcastle could have easily been ahead, but it's goalless. Highlights on the way.
44: Pochettino is on the edge of his technical area with hands on hips. He is NOT happy with this first half, and is screaming instructions at his men.
42: Half a chance for Newcastle as Gayle is found inside the box with just Sanchez for company, but his shot is weak and Lloris collects.
WHAT A CHANCE! Oh, wow. Spurs break and it bounces up perfectly for Kane 15 yards out with just Dubravka to beat as the goalkeeper stays at home...
IT'S AN AIRSHOT! That's the best chance of the first half, and it sums up Kane's form. He shakes his head.
40: Kane goes wide to Trippier, and it's a great decision as Spurs pile the box. Decent cross by Trippier, Sissoko gets up, but all the power is taken out of his effort as it hits the floor and Dubravka collects.
39: Harry Kane has had just six touches, less than any player on the pitch by some distance.
Eriksen is bundles over by Gayle, and a chance for Kane to hit the target from 30 yards with his seventh touch...
37: One step forward, one step back for Alli. He takes the ball down with a sublime touch, but his through ball for Son is too heavy and out of play. More groans.
35: Spurs having to be extremely patient. Vertonghen is seeing a lot of the ball without many options. Eriksen is trying to pull the strings but nothing is going for him.
33: Eriksen with a fine ball to Kane at the far post, he volleys from an acute angle and it's not bad, but flashes across the box and Newcastle eventually deal with it.
Vertonghen then has a pop from miles out, and it's straight at Dubravka.
Chelsea 0-0 Huddersfield at half-time. Spurs two points ahead of Chelsea at this time.
32: Spurs fans are really unhappy here. First Alli misjudges the flight of the ball, before Davies lofts one to nobody.
But it's 'Come on you Spurs' they sing, attempting to rouse the players.
29: CHANCE! Another fine Newcastle chance! What are Spurs up to here?!
It's a fantastic move, involving Ritchie and Perez down the right, and the latter's cross is headed over by Gayle from eight yards! Nobody marking him!
Newcastle should be in front.
28: End-to-end stuff! Sanchez slices a clearance for a corner after nice Newcastle interplay. Ritchie takes short to Shelvey...
SAVE! Fine cross by Shelvey, plum on Lascelles head, and the defender powers a fine header bound for the left corner, but for Lloris' superb save! Fine dive to his right!
26: Spurs get a few passes together and win a corner through Eriksen on the right. He takes it this time, after Davies' early debacle...
In towards Vertonghen, cleared well, headed back in by Davies and it falls kindly to Wanyama... but he hits it high and wide from 15 yards! Should have done better.
24: Spurs being shut out so far. Plenty of time remaining in this first half, however...
22: Ritchie hands it to Shelvey, decent delivery, cleared as far as Kenedy, but he completely airshots the rebound! Roar from the Spurs fans, as if you say: "Wake up!"
20: Newcastle working really hard. Getting numbers behind the ball without it, and pacing forward with it. Corner, to be taken by Ritchie...
18: It's really nervous here. Newcaslte find themselves on the left of the box through Perez, but his cut back is cleared by Son.
Sloppiness at the back from Tottenham; Sanchez and Vertonghen half asleep, and Gayle and Perez are two willing runners.
WATCH: SHELVEY HITS POST
Oh so close for Jonjo Shelvey...
16: Corner to Spurs, won by Trippier. But it's really poor by Davies, and straight to a blue shirt. Gayle clears.
14: OFF THE POST! Shelvey steps up, wraps his foot around it, and it hits the outside of the post and out for a goal kick! I think half of this ground though that was in!
Fine start to this game.
