Leicester Tigers' Dom Barrow handed one-week ban

Leicester Tigers lock Dom Barrow has been banned for a week after a Rugby Football Union disciplinary committee hearing.

Barrow was cited for striking an opponent in Leicester's Aviva Premiership clash with Saracens on Saturday, a game they went on to lose 26-6.

He was found guilty of a breach of Law 10.4(a) and banned for a week, ruling him out of Saturday's derby clash against Northampton.

The 23-year-old, who joined the Tigers from Newcastle at the start of the season, has played in eight games across domestic and European competition since his arrival at Welford Road.
