Ander Herrera says his Manchester United future is never certain but insisted he will fight to stay at the "biggest club in England".

United have won their last three Premier League fixtures with Herrera a mainstay in Jose Mourinho's improved side, completing the full 90 minutes on each occasion in the club's current six-game unbeaten run in the top flight.

Herrera has formed a formidable midfield trio alongside Paul Pogba and Michael Carrick, but despite also earning his first cap for Spain in November's friendly against England, the former Athletic Bilbao player believes there is work to do to secure his long-term future at Old Trafford.

Asked whether he plans to remain with the club, Herrera told Inside United"Yes, but you never know because if I want to keep playing for United you have to play very well because United is the biggest club in England.

"The club has the capacity to bring any players here so you have to always be at your highest level if you want to keep playing for this club. It's not easy but I hope I can and I will fight for it."

Herrera joined United in 2014, and now in his third season in English football, the Spaniard has revealed the Premier League is not all that different to life in La Liga.

"Everyone always asks me that about the differences and to be honest I don't think there is a big difference, football is football everywhere and the good players are good players everywhere," Herrera added.

"Maybe the rhythm of the game here is a little bit higher sometimes. In Spain and other countries they think more about tactics or defending the goal, but here in England everyone wants to attack and that's good for the fans as well."
