Blackburn have made an approach to QPR to sign Idrissa Sylla, according to Sky sources.
The 27-year-old striker is potentially available for loan after Rangers signed Nahki Wells and Tomer Hemed on loan this week.
And Sylla could join Jack Rodwell at Ewood Park, while Sky Sports News also understands Rovers are close to loaning Harrisson Reed from Southampton.
Sylla has made three Championship appearances so far this season, two from the bench, as the West London club have endured a torrid start and sit bottom of the division after four defeats.
The Guinea international was signed for £1.75m from Anderlecht in August 2016 and has scored 17 goals in 61 Championship games.
He scored only seven in 28 appearances under Ian Holloway last season.
Sylla began his career at Le Mans as a youth before joining Zulte Waregem in 2013 and then Anderlecht in 2015.
