West Brom caretaker-manager Darren Moore insists he will wait until the end of the season to discuss his future with the club and has refused to be drawn on whether he will be offered the role on a full-time basis.
Moore was named Premier League Manager of the Month for April after guiding the club to three wins and two draws from his five games since replacing Alan Pardew at the Hawthorns.
However, the recent upturn in form proved to be too little, too late as Southampton's 1-0 victory over Swansea on Wednesday night relegated the Baggies to the Sky Bet Championship.
West Brom travel to face Crystal Palace on the final day of the season on Sunday and Moore insists he will wait until next week before holding talks with the club over his future.
"I've asked from day one, let's just complete the six games," said Moore.
"Once we get through game six, and next week once I've spoken to the chairman and the board of directors, then I'm in a clearer position where I can share the news, whatever that may be, with you."
Moore is unbeaten since taking over from Pardew at the start of last month and the former central defender is keen to extend that solid record with a positive result at Selhurst Park.
"It would be great. We know it will be a difficult game, just like all of the others," said Moore.
"We've just focused on trying to make sure our planning and preparation has been good this week, and we continue to do so for the game.
"The record is there for everybody to speak about but we know we'll have to be at our best to get any sort of a result."
Moore has heaped praise on his players ahead of the trip to south London and insists they have brought "hope" and "pride" to the club, after recent wins over Manchester United, Newcastle and Tottenham.
"I always said that we couldn't dictate what was happening outside the club but we looked after our own performances," said Moore, who admitted he found it strange to collect the Manager of the Month award just hours before relegation was confirmed.
"On that day, collecting the award was wonderful and great to share it with all the staff, but later in the evening the result confirmed we were relegated.
"My message to everybody was 'Feel proud of what's gone in the club in recent weeks. We've filled the club with hope and vision and pride.'
"We still continue and we've got a very difficult game on Sunday."
