GIGGS TO MAKE FRIENDLY DEBUT

RYAN GIGGS looks set to play for Wales in a friendly for the first time in his international career, after pulling out of 18 consecutive non-competitive games.

Giggs, 26, who made his Welsh debut in 1991, has played in just 26 out of a possible 56 matches, but said: "I`d challenge anyone who has seen me play for Wales, I give as much as I do for United, if not more.

"I`ve always maintained that two of the greatest moments of my career came when I made my Wales debut and then when I captained my country three years later."

Wales friendly against Finland will be the first time the Welsh have played at the Millennium Stadium and it will also see the national side return to the capital for the first time in 17 months.
