Heinze out of final

Manchester United target Gabriel Heinze will miss the Coupe de France final on Saturday.

The Paris Saint Germain stopper and Argentina team-mate Juan Pablo Sorin are wanted by their country for the big clash with Brazil on June 2.

Paris and Argentinian officials have been negotiating but no agreement has been reached and they have been refused permission to play in the final against Chateauroux.

Heinze has been the subject of a reported bid of £6 million from United, but French sources claim he also has a concrete offer from another major European side.

Sorin is thought to be considering a possible switch to Marseille.

Meanwhile, Lille's Stephane Pichot has been confirmed as a PSG signing on a three-year contract.

The full back has arrived in the capital but coach Vahid Halilhodzic also wants Nantes ace Sylvain Armand.

The 23-year-old also interests Marseille but PSG are favourites to clinch his signature after he met with president Francis Graille.
