Iker Casillas has dismissed rumours linking him with a move away from Real Madrid.
Iker Casillas has dismissed rumours linking him with a move away from Real Madrid by announcing that he wants to sign a new contract at El Santiago Bernabeu.
The Spain international keeper has been linked with moves to Manchester United, Liverpool and Internazionale in recent weeks, but stated he has no intention of looking for a transfer.
"I want to stay here," he said.
"I have been here 15 years and have no desire to leave.
"I want to renew my contract and stay, although there is still plenty of time before 2006."
The 23-year-old shot-stopper refused to discuss the reports that Manchester United are keen on him, a move that would see him work with former Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz again.
"I am on good terms with Queiroz, but that is another subject," he continued.
"The only thing I am thinking about is the sporting aspect and I am not demanding anything from Madrid.
"It is down to the club if they are happy with it and, if that is the case, then they will offer me a new deal."
Casillas then looked ahead to the tricky UEFA Champions League trip to Ukraine to face Dynamo Kiev on Wednesday.
"It will be difficult and it will be very cold," he added.
"We have to go there and fight for the three points though.
"Not losing would be good, but if we win then that would almost guarantee us a place in the next round."
