Manchester United youngster Chris Eagles has joined Watford on loan.

Manchester United youngster Chris Eagles has joined Watford on loan, just five days after leaving Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

The 20-year-old midfielder has joined The Hornets until the end of the season, and will look to further the promotion aspirations of the club whom he enjoyed a similar loan spell with last season.

Eagles featured frequently for The Owls during his time at Hillsborough, but will now link up with fellow United loan star Ben Foster at Adrian Boothroyd's Hertfordshire outfit.

Upon clinching his return to Vicarage Road, Eagles advanced his desire to aid Boothroyd in his promotion plans.

"Joining Watford feels absolutely right," Eagles told the club's official website.

"I'm really pleased to be joining a team that is doing so well - and is keen to improve and get into the Premier League.

"I will do everything I can to repay the faith shown in me by Aidy."
