The Stamford Bridge outfit made their move for the defender last week and now the player has revealed that he has nearly completed his move.
"According to the news that I have, the move to Chelsea is almost done," said Geremi.
"I believe that there are only minimal details to be sorted out between the clubs.
"For me, to leave would not be very traumatic."
Despite his imminent move, however, the African said that he would still prefer to remain in Madrid.
"I would like to stay more now that Zidane has arrived, for me the best player in the world for a long time," he added.
"I am tremendously thankful to Madrid for what they have done for me."
