Fulham's on-loan defender Wayne Bridge has spoken of his frustration.
Fulham's on-loan defender Wayne Bridge has spoken of his frustration at missing the chance to play against parent club Chelsea.
The England international was not allowed to play due to the rules governing loan signings and was disappointed after returning to full fitness.
With a World Cup place in his sights, the former Southampton defender is desperate to enjoy a run of games.
"I don't know," he told Sky Sports when asked if the rule was right that he could not play against Chelsea.
"Yes, it's right in a way, but not in some ways.
"I want to play as many games as possible. I've picked up a few niggles and want to get back playing week in, week out.
"It's just put a break in some of my games.
"I need to play for me. To play every week is good for me.
"I was playing every week then I picked up the injury for England and was out for a couple of weeks.
"I was back for the Liverpool game and now have to sit it out again."
Bridge admitted before the game that he wanted Fulham to win.
"The one team I want to win is Fulham," he explained. "Chelsea have already won the league and don't desperately need the points.
"The way we've been going lately, we've not been picking up a lot of points so we need some points to make that gap bigger from the bottom three."
