Finnan had been laid low by a stomach upset which forced him to miss the return to his old club.
Kewell had been struggling with a groin injury, but the Australian has shaken the problem off and is back in contention for Rafa Benitez's men.
Liverpool have no other injury worries to contend with only Steven Gerrard and Vladimir Smicer still sidelined.
