Janas names friendly squad

Poland have announced a 16-man squad for their friendly with Lithuania on May 2.

Poland have announced a 16-man squad for their World Cup warm-up match with Lithuania on May 2.

Coach Pawel Janas has included two debutants in the squad that is missing a number of his preferred starting line-up.

Defender Seweryn Gamcarczyk and midfielder Grzegorz Bronowicki will both be involved in the national team set-up for the first time.

A number of British-based players will also get their chance to impress Janas as they look to cement their place in the World Cup squad.

Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek is included, despite Poland's goalkeeping coach saying he would not be involved in Germany, as well as Queens Park Rangers defender Marcin Kus.

Southampton pair Kamil Kosowski and Grzegorz Rasiak and Wolves striker Tomasz Frankowski are the other Championship-based players included.
