Sochaux no-go for Le Tallec

Sochaux's deal to sign Liverpool youngster Anthony Le Tallec has fallen through.

Sochaux's deal to sign Liverpool's France Under-21 international Anthony Le Tallec has fallen through because of complications.

The 21-year-old Frenchman had been expected to move to the Ligue 1 outfit on loan this season with view to a permanent deal.

Coach Alain Perrin has been desperate to bolster his attacking line for the tough season ahead, but the Stade Bonal boss has now confirmed that he will look elsewhere for a solution.

"It is very complicated. I don't know why, but it is complicated," coach Alain Perrin told l'Est Republicain.

"We will bounce back and target another prospect.

"I have another option and we are going to travel."

Slovenian striker Klement Lavric, who plays for German Bundesliga Zwei outfit MSV Duisburg, is believed to be Perrin's other possible signing.

But with the league campaign already underway in France the FCSM faithful will be anxious to see a new striker arrive to help with the championship challenge ahead.
