Arsenal have confirmed that Brazilian midfielder Gilerto Silva faces at least a month out of action.The Gunners star has picked up a back injury and will be laid up for at least four weeks.
"Gilberto is out," manager Arsene Wenger confirmed on the club's official website.
"We don't know how long for but it will be at least a month without any physical effort.
"It's a strange injury and one that usually concerns young players.
"I don't know if it is a recurrence of an injury he has when he was young. It could be a small fracture in one of his veterbrae."
Gilberto is closing in on 100 appearances for Arsenal since joining the club in 2002 from Atletico Mineiro.
