Hammers chasing Gunners ace

West Ham are believed to be keen on signing Jeremie Aliadiere on loan.

West Ham are believed to be keen on signing Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere on loan.

Reports emanating from France suggest that West Ham have made an enquiry about taking Aliadiere on loan for the rest of the season.

Hammers boss Alan Pardew is keen to bolster his attacking options as he looks to maintain their push for promotion and is thought to have made Aliadiere his top target.

Aliadiere has only recently returned to action after a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.

The young Frenchman suffered damage to the cruciate ligament in his right knee in the Community Shield in August and made his first appearance since the injury in last week's FA Cup replay win over Sheffield United.

Aliadiere is well down the pecking order at Highbury and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger could be willing to loan him out so that he can regain his fitness by playing regularly.
