Robson admits Davies fears

Bryan Robson has conceded he may lose Curtis Davies if a 'massive' offer comes in.

West Brom boss Bryan Robson has admitted Curtis Davies could be prised from the relegated club this summer, although it would take a 'massive' offer to land the defender.

Ever since signing from Luton Town for £3 million at the start of the season Davies has won a number of admirers by adjusting to The Premiership with ease.

Although the Midlands side suffered relegation heartbreak it has been a productive campaign for the young stopper as he was called up to the England Under-21 squad and was even named as Baggies captain for a number of games.

Robson's decision to hand him the armband was indicative of the faith he has in the 21-year-old, and the Baggies boss has made it very clear he wishes to keep Davies in The Championship next season.

However, the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Portsmouth and Everton have all been linked with an interest, and Robson has conceded he may have no choice in the matter should a substantial offer materialise.

"I've absolutely no intention of selling Curtis but you can never say that definitely," said Robson.

"But what I don't want to do is give false hopes and we all know the economics of the situation.

"If a big club comes in with massive money then you don't know what might happen."
