Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly chasing two of Valencia's young prospects.
Reports in Spain suggest that North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are both on the trail of highly-rated young prospects belonging to Valencia.
Arsenal's object of desire is understood to be Jaime Gavilan, a left-sided midfielder who spent last season on loan at Getafe where he made a big impact.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are reportedly taken with David Silva, another midfielder who also impressed on whilst out loan last term, the 20-year-old catching the eye at Celta Vigo.
Valencia have subsequently welcomed back both players after their exploits away from the Mestalla and insist the duo are very much part of their long-term plans.
Recently-appointed director of football Amadeo Carboni stated: "The club wants them to stay and they want to stay here as well."
However, with the duo likely to expect regular first-team football after their progressive campaigns, Valencia could face a fight to keep them.
Both have expressed a desire to force their way into the Che first-team, but the agents who represent both players, Amadeo Rangel and Julio Llorente, have confirmed - without naming names - that a number of teams are following their progress and insist they expect the youngsters to have their contracts substantially improved this summer.
Carboni has already admitted there could be some problem on this front when he declared: "It's obvious there could be some problems with the negotiations."
As such, Llorente has warned that other offers could be considered, but insisted Valencia would remain the pair's priority.
''I think that they have had a good season," Llorente declared. "They deserve more than they have.
"The truth is we have received offers from other teams that we do value.
"They are young footballers with great quality and spirit and that is why other teams are interested in signing them.
"But they are excited by playing for Valencia and the Mestalla club is the first possibility they are thinking about."
