Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has stepped up the pressure on Marseille to sell Franck Ribery, at a time when the player has returned to pre-season training to meet l'OM officials.The French international attracted interest from across Europe after helping Les Bleus win their way to the World Cup final in Germany this summer.
The Ligue 1 champions have continued to insist their interest in signing the player to replace his international team-mate Sidney Govou.
Reports suggest that Ribery will stay at the club for another season before making a move to Arsenal, but the Stade de Gerland supremo has once again appealed to his opposite number at Marseille to keep the attacker on home soil.
"To be a good chairman means to be able to make a good capital gain for Franck, and that way sign players that l'OM need," Aulas explained.
"I am relying on the wisdom of Pape Diouf. But if Ribery doesn't come we have Sidney.
"But for him, we are in talks with a French club and several foreign clubs. So anything can still happen."
Ribery is set to meet with the chairman on Monday for the first time since the end of last season.
He is expected to demand the club show more ambition in the transfer market to convince him that the team will be able to challenge for UEFA Champions League football in the coming season.
