Goran Pandev has slammed reports which suggested he wanted to join Arsenal.
Macedonia striker Goran Pandev has slammed reports in the English press which suggested he was hankering after a move to Arsenal. In the build-up to Macedonia's Euro 2008 qualifier against The Three Lions a tabloid newspaper carried quotes purportedly stemming from the forward which inferred he would use the Old Trafford stage to try and attract a bid from The Gunners.
Pandev was quoted as stating he hopes to move to The Premiership soon, despite only completing a permanent transfer to Stadio Olimpico from Udinese over the summer.
Now the Biancocelesti star has flatly denied ever speaking to the paper, insisting he is fully committed to the Serie A side.
"I've never spoken with the journalist," he told calciomercato.
"I've never thought to leave Lazio for whom I made every effort in order to stay with during the summer after the co-ownership with Udinese."
