Cadamarteri is heading for Valley Parade, even though Arnar Gunnlaugsson remains a target for the First Division club.
Bantams chairman Geoffrey Richmond has also confirmed talks have taken place with a view to Ward rejoining his former club Barnsley.
"Ashley Ward is our second highest-paid player," he revealed.
"There have been discussions over the last four to six weeks but agreement, at this stage, has not been reached."
