James McFadden insists he does not feel under pressure despite the fact he achieved a personal landmark on Saturday.The Everton forward became the first Scot to reach double figures in goals since John Collins and the youngest since Denis Law.
McFadden scored during the 6-0 thrashing of Faroe Islands on Saturday, but he admits he had not even thought about breaking any record.
"It's the first I've been told about it, it's nice because growing up I admired John Collins a lot, he was always one of the players I looked up to when I was younger," McFadden told Sky Sports News.
"Obviously Denis Law is a legend and it's nice to be mentioned in the same breath as him.
"I don't think there's pressure to score goals. Everybody wants to score goals and it's great that we got so many different goalscorers, especially with the strikers scoring on Saturday. I wouldn't say it takes any pressure off, if anything you want to keep scoring more goals to keep people off your back really."
McFadden feels Scotland can take a lot of confidence from the romp over the Faroes, but insists they will not be taking Lithuania for granted - especially after they claimed a 1-1 draw with world champions Italy.
"It takes a lot of pressure off in terms of we've won the first game," he continued.
"The two games are different and Wednesday will be a different proposition to what Saturday was especially after their good result as well. We just need to go and try and win the game. If we get another win it's the ideal start for us."
Meanwhile, Scotland have drafted Hibernian forward Scott Brown into the squad.
Lee McCulloch and Garry O'Connor are both major injury doubts so Brown will provide extra cover.
"Scott Brown is a tremendous footballer," said assistant boss Tommy Burns.
"The one characteristic that stands out for me is that he is a real winner.
"He has great enthusiasm and energy to get up and down the park as well as his tremendous ability.
"He is a good passer and striker of the ball and he has developed tremendously well over the last couple of years under Tony Mowbray at Hibs.
"He scored two of the best goals I've seen any young player score, one at Celtic Park after running 70 yards and chipping the goalkeeper and I think he did a very similar thing against Rangers at Ibrox.
"There's not many young players I've seen do that so when he is doing that and making a real impact at club level, the next step is obviously to see how he can do at national level."
