The 20-year-old hit-man has been tipped for great things by everyone at the club and has now made his mark on international football with a superb debut display for Les Reed's Under-20s.
Tyson has bagged just a single goal in 12 appearances for The Royals this season but has shown a lot of promise.
He started to show some of his class with two splendid goals to see-off the Germans in a dream display at Madejski Stadium, and everyone involved with him hopes he will go on to be a star of the future.
Reed had special praise for him after the game, saying that Alan Pardew had a real prospect on his hands.
"I just think there's a great prospect for Reading Football Club in Nathan Tyson," said Reed.
"What I like about him is that he asks questions and doesn't just sit there and nod his head. Even at half-time he was asking me things.
"He's really worked; he's had to take a lot in this week. He adapted to a slightly different role in the second half and he's a credit to his club and team-mates."
Tyson himself was delighted with his debut in front of the Reading faithful, and says that he hopes this is just the start of his international career.
"It was fantastic, absolutely fabulous," he told the club's website.
"I just want to see the video and see how my overall performance was. There were a few mistakes but I scored two goals, won us the game and I'm just very pleased with it.
"It was a great debut for me and a great night for the fans as well.
"At the end of the day I don't know how I got here, now I just want more international games and I want to keep that up, I don't want to lose it.
"I just hope this is the start of many things to come. The only person who can do that is myself. Tonight was a chance for me and maybe people think I can do the business now."
