Spireites trial trio

Chesterfield have trialed three new players in the club's reserves this week.

The trio include Australian goalkeeper Adam Federici, who has been looking for pastures new since ending a short spell at Championship high-flyers Reading last season.

Cameroonian midfielder Ahmed Tchankein has also been handed the chance to impress The Spireites, while a third unnamed trialist also lined up for the club's reserves on Monday.

Saltergate assistant manager Lee Richardson (pictured) stated they are on the lookout for new faces to bring in during the January transfer window.

"We had trialists in the team, but all we are doing is keeping our eyes open to see if there's anyone out there who can improve us," Richardson told the club's official website.

"We'll keep doing that and we'll see if we can do anything in the New Year."
