Royals hopeful over duo

Reading are hopeful that both Steve Sidwell and Glen Little will be fit to face Bolton.

Reading are hopeful that both Steve Sidwell and Glen Little will be fit to face Bolton on Saturday.

The in-form duo have been suffering with hip and hamstring injuries respectively following the weekend victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Royals boss Steve Coppell will be eager for both players to be passed fit to play, with the club's physio offering a positive diagnosis ahead of Saturday's game.

"Glen came off concerned about his hamstring, having felt a twinge," physio Jon Fearn told the club's official website.

"He's got very minor grade one damage. He did the right thing coming off and we hope he'll be available on Saturday.

"Siddy got a knee in the centre of his hip and it gave him nerve pain and a very sore backside!

"He's getting better now and we'll see how he is in the coming days. We're confident for the weekend."

Meanwhile, defender Aaron Brown has suffered another set-back as he looks to recover from an ankle injury.

"Aaron unfortunately tweaked a ligament in the same ankle as his previous injury, which was an unlucky fluke," added Fearn.

"He has an old problem on top of a new one and won't train for a few weeks."
