BROWN JOINS POMPEY

MICHAEL BROWN has joined Portsmouth on a months loan from Manchester City which sees him reunited with old manager Alan Ball.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been unable to win a place in the City first team which is and is a massive down turn in the career of a man who won Man City player of the year in 1997.

Brown is unlikely to make his debut tomorrow against Crewe but if he does impress then the move could be made permanent.

Ball gave Brown his first team debut in 1995 and he went onto play for England Under 21`s a year later in the Toulon tournament.
