Pompey tackle Tottenham on the opening day of the season and Mbesuma is keen to be given a chance by Alain Perrin.
"I can hardly wait to get started here," explained Mbesuma.
"The Premiership is the best league in the world and I want to show I have the ability to succeed in it."
