Postiga dreamt of Spurs move

EXCLUSIVE
HELDER POSTIGA used to dream of playing for Tottenham Hotspur, according to his agent Pedro Romao, who also confessed that England was the Porto starlet's favoured destination.

Postiga hit the headlines after it emerged he was much admired by Carlos Queiroz, who is assistant manager at Manchester United.

The 20-year-old has been in scintillating form for his club, and the likes of Juventus have also been credited with an interest.

But it is White Hart Lane that the youngster used to fantasise about running out onto - and the North London club are believed to have sent scouts to watch the player.

‚Ç¥When he was 10 his dream was to play for Tottenham,‚Ç¥ Romao exclusively told planetfootball.

‚Ç¥He used to love watching Spurs, although I don't think he would limit himself to just playing for them in the English league!

‚Ç¥There have been a lot of English clubs scouting him - as well as the well publicised interest from Manchester United and Juventus.

‚Ç¥But I have to say that we have nothing concrete at the moment - and Helder is perfectly happy that he is playing for Porto.

‚Ç¥We have had no concrete offers, and at the moment he is just delighted to have got into the starting line-up at Porto and to be playing well.‚Ç¥

Romao admits the player will look to play in one of Europe's big three leagues - but it is clear that Postiga is most enthusiastic about life in The Premiership.

‚Ç¥It is an honour to be linked with the great clubs in for him,‚Ç¥ added Romao, ‚Ç£and most of the interest appears to come from England.

‚Ç¥If he has an opportunity overseas - he would like to play in one of the big three England, Italy or Spain.

‚Ç¥But his personal preference is English football because of the crowds, the atmosphere and the style of football that you get.

‚Ç¥But the player is still enjoying giving everything to Porto and although we will always build him up, we are not really looking to get him a move right at this moment.

‚Ç¥He will not even consider a move until the end of the season - and even then I think he could well stay here for another couple of years.‚Ç¥
