Clarets snap up Rovers starlet

Burnley boss Stan Ternent has taken Blackburn Rovers starlet James McEveley on a three-month loan spell at Turf Moor.

The left back has decided to join The Clarets in order to gain some more first team action, and will be available for Saturday's match against Coventry City.

The 18-year-old has made a handful of appearances for Rovers in his short career so far at Ewood Park, and his appearances for Graeme Souness's side has earned the Liverpool-born teenager international honours with the England Under-21 squad.

The move becomes the second to be made between the two Lancashire clubs this season, with Blackburn's Andy Todd having spent time on loan at Turf Moor earlier in the campaign.
