Morten ready for biggest games

Morten Gamst Pedersen is hoping to take his form into the World Cup ties.

Morten Gamst Pedersen is hoping to take his impressive Premiership form into the World Cup play-off with Czech Republic.

The Blackburn Rovers winger was outstanding in his side's 4-1 thumping of Charlton Athletic at the weekend and is enjoying a fabulous campaign.

Although the two-legged affair with the Czechs promises to be a tough examination of Norway's credentials, Pedersen is ready for the games of his life.

"I am in good shape and hope that I can carry on the form for the national team," he informed NTB.

"I am very pleased with the afternoon [on Saturday] and I bring a lot of positive energy for the national team.

"These will be the two biggest matches during my time in the national team and, yes, I believe we can beat Czech Republic."

Graham Poll is to referee the first leg at the weekend.

As for the win against Charlton, Pedersen felt it was thoroughly deserved.

"We were better in every area of the field and deserved to win," he stated.
